Layered Cake, Pop Up Bithday Card

Hi guys!
So, 2019 has begun, what are your new year's resolution? One of mine is to try and use as much of the supplies I already have and try not to buy new ones until I try them all at least once. I know, buying them and using them are not in the same category 😜.
News from now on: I will include a DXF file for those Silhouette Studio users that don't have access to SVG files.
I'm a fan of pop up cards and I wanted to begin this year posting this fun and easy card.
A very simple front panel and a colorful pop up inside

Faux Snow Globe, Pop Up, Hexagonal, Christmas Card

Hi there guys!
Sorry I have not posted in a long time. I don’t know if my lack of posts is because my projects have become more complex thus taking me longer to to design, test and finish them or just because life’s been extremely hectic this last year. I’ve started, just by chance, doing character designing commissions and that’s taken me in a whole new direction.
I couldn’t let Christmas pass without sending cards though, and designing something fresh and interactive led me to create this Faux Snow Globe, Hexagonal, Pop Up Christmas Card. Of course there's an English and a Spanish version of the file.

Diagonally Opened Pop Up Card

Hello Peeps!
Long time no see.
I've  had this card on my mind for a long time now. I wanted to do a card that was a little different and with a lot of movement when opened.  Some of you might have seen the blueprint I posted on Awesome SVGs Facebook page, that's how most of my projects start, as a quick sketch and then off to the design board (actually is a Wacom Cintiq and Adobe Illustrator). This is one of my favorite pop up designs, I will build from here because the possibilities are endless and there's always room for design improvement.

Easy Birthday Tunnel Cards with Your Cricut Machine

Hello everyone!
I created this file a while ago for my dad's birthday. It took me a long time to make because the panels were all crooked and I tried glueing the panels to the inside surface of the side accordion piece. So, after a lot of tweaking i refined the file and made it super easy to assemble.
Check the video tutorial to assemble the card. and download the free file over at my blog.

Using Pattern Fills In Design Space To Speed Up Your Work

Hello everyone!
It's been a while. We've been doing a lot of home improvement (including my craft space) and things took longer than we expected. Is all done now, so hopefully I'll have a lot more time at hand to craft and share. I was thinking about doing a craft room tour video, if you think that's something you would like to see, please leave a comment below.
Today is all about speeding up your card making or scrapbooking process using Pattern Fills in Design Space. You could go from a couple of hours to only a few minutes and have a card ready to go if you are in a hurry.
If you want to jump directly to the video tutorial, click on the image below. If you want to go straight to the blog post to read more and download the free SVG file and patterns, click on the title of this post.

Faux Calligraphy with your Cricut Maker + Pop Up Card

Hello Everyone!
Ever since I made our Christmas Cards I'm obsessed with gold ink calligraphy, but I'm always afraid I'm not going to be accurate enough to do a big one word sentiment on a card (I should practice more). This time I tried to create a single word sentiment and add several lines to the downward strokes to make it look like dip pen calligraphy.
This bold sentiment was so stunning in gold and masculine enough that I decided to create an inside fun card to go with it.

Revisited Argyle Sweater Card With Real Stitching

Last year I made a similar card, but it had faux stitching made with a white gel pen.
This one has real stitching instead. Don´t judge me, I´m not good at hand sewing, so if you think this card could do better with a different sewing technique, please let me know.
