Easy Birthday Tunnel Cards with Your Cricut Machine

Hello everyone!

I created this file a while ago for my dad's birthday. It took me a long time to make because the panels were all crooked and I tried glueing the panels to the inside surface of the side accordion piece. So, after a lot of tweaking i refined the file and made it super easy to assemble.

There's no need to use heavy cardstock for this card, in fact I used the Neenah Starter pack 65 lb. cardstock and it worked great. There's a front and a back panel that reinforce the card and allow it to  lay flat. and also help to create a focal point on the card.

My favorite part is how the balloons turned out. The dimensional effect achieved with the Mod Podge on top of the glitter cardstock is just gorge! and they look like they were store-bought. I did use my Xyron Sticker maker to apply adhesive to the back of the balloons, because DCWV glitter cardstock doesn't take liquid adhesive well and it kind of warps.

The layering inside the card is so much fun, and even though it is not very intricate, I would recommend to use the "cardstock (for intricate cuts)" setting on your machine to avoid some ripping of the cardstock that may occur, specially around the letters..

The glitter on the balloons wasn't enough (it never is), so I added Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to the banner in the backdrop. It is kind of difficult to see, but it sparkles in real life!
