Hello Everyone!
Ever since I made our Christmas Cards I'm obsessed with gold ink calligraphy, but I'm always afraid I'm not going to be accurate enough to do a big one word sentiment on a card (I should practice more). This time I tried to create a single word sentiment and add several lines to the downward strokes to make it look like dip pen calligraphy.
This bold sentiment was so stunning in gold and masculine enough that I decided to create an inside fun card to go with it.
Broad tip pens like the
Uni Ball Signo UM153 are best for this technique because the ink will cover more surface than finer tip pens, but make sure it is not too broad or your single stroke lines will be too thick and you will loose the effect. I used a Chomas Marker Adapter to be able to use the Uniball Signo with my Cricut Maker, this is a great item to have and you don't have to worry too much about the pens fitting your machine default adapter.

The multiple strokes on the soft Neenah Crepe Finish paper give it a dimensional look, plus the antique gold color of the ink gives it a printing press like quality.
The assembling of the card is very easy, but it has very specific instructions, so I posted a
video tutorial on You Tube that you can watch to do so.

The top inner panel is large enough for you to stamp or write your message. |
I would recommend to use
liquid glue for the mechanisms so you can re position them if you don't glue them correctly right away (like I always do...)
 |
When closed the beer mugs are pushed down and to the sides by the paper mechanisms. |

Enjoy!
