Day 4 - Reindeer Gift Tag, 2014 Christmas Series

Day 4 is all about reindeers.

This one was made similar to the snowman tag.

The faux stitch lines and the mouth on the front panel were done with the Moccasin pen, part of the Cricuts Southwest pens pack. I also inked the edges using Vintage Photo Distress Ink on a dauber.

The nose is colored cardstock double heat embossed with clear powder. I tried to add some white embossing powder to do the highlight but it didn't come out too well - I think it looks better to draw the highlight with a pen and then emboss it, like I did on the snowman tag.

The eyes are cut on the front panel and I added a highlight with my white gel pen.

I manually added a shiny accent line on the horns with an American Crafts Shop Chalk permanent gold marker.

I also added the lines on the scarf by hand using american crafts metallic pens and accent with a white gel pen.

Instructions

1. Import in DS
2. Resize to 2 inches wide
3. Ungroup
4. Change function for the faux stitched layer
5. Attach the written layer to the tags front panel
6. Cut
7. Assemble
8. Enjoy!
