Happy New year folks!
Love is in the air...
A couple of days ago I decided to retake my Kirigami Projects and using the Popup Card Studio software, I did my version of a Valentine's Day card posted widely on the net . Looking at the tutorials I realized that Rob from Scrappy Dew narrates them!, so cool!
The software is really easy to use. Rendering the project allows you to see the final result without actually cutting the card, which is good to make adjustments. Once I was happy, I exported the file as an SVG and tweaked it a little in Adobe Illustrator.
I made a couple trying different embellishments, like Uchi's Design and Inkadinkado heart stamps, and Fiskar's corner punches.
The folding is a little bit tricky, but a narrow steel ruler helps to get it right. I realized it works better glueing only one side completely and only the edge of the opposite side to the base card so it folds easily without wrinkling.
The file comes with a 4.25x 5.5 notecard to place the actual cut layer inside.
Hope you like it!
Instructions
- Import in DS
- Resize to 5.5 inches wide
- Ungroup
- Change function for the scored layer
- Cut

- Enjoy!
