Back To School Box Card

It is here!
My first box Card.
This is a giveaway!! (send me your address via mail and I'll sent it to you for free). I'm in Chile. so it will get to a different country in 2 or three weeks (sorry, expedited mail is so expensive).
For this card I used only colored cardstock, the chevron and notebook lines on some of the panels are from hero arts stamp with Mustard Seed distress ink (I love the background cling rubber stamps from hero arts). The Neenah Collection papers are so good with distress inks and the Kraft cardstock I got form amazon works wonders also. I used Crushed olive for the kraft cardstock, Rusty Hinge for the apples and stormy sky for the blue paper.

Back To School Image Pack

A couple of SVGs with school supplies, specially for a back to school card or scrapbook layout. These are the objects for a Box Card I'm putting together, so stick around.

Vellum Flower Card

A white faux stitched Vellum Flower, with some accents.

I know... very flowery...

For this project I used 90 g/m2 vellum. Since I was going to write on the vellum and sometimes that makes the material to adhere very strongly to the mat, I used a refurbished cricut mat for the vellum. I guess it is better to use a light grip mat (which I don't have) in case your vellum is less than 90 g/m2 or 60 lb.

Import the image in Cricut Design Space and resize to 14 inches wide (or 10 inches tall).

Ungroup the whole thing.

Select the dashed lines and change the function to write. The lines are black on the file and it really doesn't matter what color you choose in Design Space, as long as the pen you put on the pen holder is the right one. Just make sure you use the same color for every flower so your machine doesn't ask to change the pen color every time. I used a Pilot Choose White gel pen, here's the link to a tutorial I made on how to adapt the pen to the Cricut holder. (http://www.awesomesvgs.blogspot.com/2014/07/written-background.html)

Select the flower and the dashed line inside one by one and click attach so the dashed lined are writen inside the cut.

Roll the flower petals. Place the flower layers on top of each other starting with the biggest one and attach with an eyelet. The center holes are 3.5 mm. which will fit a 3/16 inch eyelet.

For the ribbons, I used the same grey cardstock and inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink.

I received the Hero Arts Travel Stamp your Story set a couple of days ago and decided to use the perfect day sentiment. I versamarked it and embossed it with Judikins Silver Embossing powder.

I used my ATG to join everything and a little Aleene's fast dry tacky glue pen here and there..

Hope you like it!

As I read on another blog, feel free to share with a link to my blog, please don't send the file. Comments are appreciated!

Happy cutting!
