Wobbling Santa Down the Chimney - Christmas Card

Hello Peeps!
Long time no see!
It's been a while, I know, but I'm back with a Christmas project you can fun in advance. I call this card: Wobbling Santa Down the Chimney.

This card is very technique intense. There's a lot of ink blending using distress inks and stencils, some stamping, paper piecing and a lot of COPIC coloring.
You can skip the inking using colored cardstock if you want and I'll provide the scanned COPIC colored images already processed in photoshop, so you can do Print then Cut and still manage to create a handmade card. The file contains:
  • The SVG file to cut the card on your cutting machine
  • Asahi Stencil SVG file
  • Uncolored Print Then Cut (PTC) image with no white outline
  • Uncolored PTC image with white outline
  • COPIC colored PTC image with no white outline
  • COPIC colored PTC image with white outline
Files provided with download. Color yourself or use the already colored images with Print Then Cut
You can also choose to use the images with and without outlines.
To prepare the layers, remember to attach the corresponding scoring layer to the cutting layer and resize the PTC images to 5.5 inches in height. Remember to maintain the proportions locked so that the width is changed accordingly. All images provided must be resized to 5.5 inches to obtain the correct size for the card. They are very high resolution images, so they might take a while to download, depending on your connection speed.

Video Tutorial 👇

Please keep in mind that the video is very TECHNIQUE RELATED and a large portion is dedicated to coloring and inking. Assembling of the card is also included.
As for the supplies, try using a heavy cardstock for the base - at least 110 lb. Watercolor paper works great for inking techniques and gives a lot of texture to the front panel.
All images were printed using a laser printer, colored with COPIC markers and then cut using Print then Cut on a Cricut Maker.

The coloring was done using a high contrast technique, that uses black for the shadows and blending is done very close to it, leaving a large surface with a very light color.
The fun mechanism inside is the star of the card, it is very simple and will surprise anyone who opens the card.

Download link is at the end of this post, and feel free to share with others.
Thanks for stopping by.
