Faux Snow Globe, Pop Up, Hexagonal, Christmas Card

Hi there guys!
Sorry I have not posted in a long time. I don’t know if my lack of posts is because my projects have become more complex thus taking me longer to to design, test and finish them or just because life’s been extremely hectic this last year. I’ve started, just by chance, doing character designing commissions and that’s taken me in a whole new direction.
I couldn’t let Christmas pass without sending cards though, and designing something fresh and interactive led me to create this Faux Snow Globe, Hexagonal, Pop Up Christmas Card. Of course there's an English and a Spanish version of the file.

Diagonally Opened Pop Up Card

Hello Peeps!
Long time no see.
I've  had this card on my mind for a long time now. I wanted to do a card that was a little different and with a lot of movement when opened.  Some of you might have seen the blueprint I posted on Awesome SVGs Facebook page, that's how most of my projects start, as a quick sketch and then off to the design board (actually is a Wacom Cintiq and Adobe Illustrator). This is one of my favorite pop up designs, I will build from here because the possibilities are endless and there's always room for design improvement.

Using ZIP Files with Design Space Mobile App - (iOS devices only)

Hello everyone!,
I've had a lot of questions regarding the download process using a mobile device.
As you know, many of my files come in a compressed ZIP folder that you must decompress in order for the content to be uploaded to Design Space or any other SVG, JPEG or PNG handling software. This is because instead of downloading each file of a particular project, you just need to download one single compressed file. The next question is: Once I've downloaded the ZIP File, How do I unzip it? and finally, How do I get it to work in Design Space?
Please notice that this tutorial is for those of you using iOS devices (iPads or iPhones), with iOS software 11 and above only. I don't own an Android Device, so sorry about that. Please feel free to link videos that show this process on other systems, in the comments.
Thank you!!

Auto Raising, Flip Top, Cardboard, Cricut Tool Wallet

Hello peeps!
I feel like I've cracked the code!!
I got my cricut tool holder to function properly! so I called it:
Auto raising: It raises the inner drawer as you open it with the help of a ribbon mechanism
Flip Top: the top flips like a cigarette box.
Cardboard: That's what it's made of.
Cricut Tool Wallet: It´s not really a wallet, but I liked the rhythm of it, lol.

Please, note that YOU DO NOT NEED A CRICUT MAKER TO MAKE THIS PROJECT. This was cut and scored on a Maker, but using the same scoring Stylus that can be put on a Cricut Explore, Cricut Explore Air or Air 2 or a Cricut Explore One. If you do have the new scoring wheel, please let us know how much better it is in the comments below. This will fit any Cricut housing (Cricut Explore and above) so even if you don't have the adaptive tool system, this project is for you!

Easy Birthday Tunnel Cards with Your Cricut Machine

Hello everyone!
I created this file a while ago for my dad's birthday. It took me a long time to make because the panels were all crooked and I tried glueing the panels to the inside surface of the side accordion piece. So, after a lot of tweaking i refined the file and made it super easy to assemble.
Check the video tutorial to assemble the card. and download the free file over at my blog.

Using Pattern Fills In Design Space To Speed Up Your Work

Hello everyone!
It's been a while. We've been doing a lot of home improvement (including my craft space) and things took longer than we expected. Is all done now, so hopefully I'll have a lot more time at hand to craft and share. I was thinking about doing a craft room tour video, if you think that's something you would like to see, please leave a comment below.
Today is all about speeding up your card making or scrapbooking process using Pattern Fills in Design Space. You could go from a couple of hours to only a few minutes and have a card ready to go if you are in a hurry.
If you want to jump directly to the video tutorial, click on the image below. If you want to go straight to the blog post to read more and download the free SVG file and patterns, click on the title of this post.

Faux Calligraphy with your Cricut Maker + Pop Up Card

Hello Everyone!
Ever since I made our Christmas Cards I'm obsessed with gold ink calligraphy, but I'm always afraid I'm not going to be accurate enough to do a big one word sentiment on a card (I should practice more). This time I tried to create a single word sentiment and add several lines to the downward strokes to make it look like dip pen calligraphy.
This bold sentiment was so stunning in gold and masculine enough that I decided to create an inside fun card to go with it.

Achieving The Best Print Then Cut Image Possible

Hi there crafters!
I don't do much print then cut, but when I do I want my images to be as crisp as I design them and I think you and I buy printers and paper to match and don't want to waste our money.
Sometime ago I showed you how to get the most out of your printer (click to see previous post), but Cricut has made a few changes to how you print then cut since then, so I decided to update the technique.
