Pilgrims Napkin Rings, 2014 Tableware Thanksgiving Series

I'm back with another project made with Scrappy Dew's Patterns.

These two napkin rings were made wit the Thanksgiving Palz 2 file that you can find here.

They cut easily and have a lot of dimension. I added an offset path to the back to match ring base color. I also added highlights using my Signo White Gel Pen on the eyes and the clothes.

The stamps on the ring base are: Dahlias from Penny Black  and Sketchy Flourishes from Inkadinkado Stamps, with Versamark Ink.

For the closure embellishments, I wanted a rusty feel to them, so I applied Brushed Pewter Metallic Distress Paint with a mini blending tool over a wet coat of Rusty Hinge Distress Paint for the red cardstock, and Tarnished Brass over Forest Moss Distress Paint for the green one.

It does look like rusty old metal, and it's done in no time!
