Stella Treat box, 2014 Halloween Series

This is actually a pretty dimensional one.

It has a lot of layering and it may take a while to assemble, but the end result is totally worth it.

A couple of days ago I got a bunch of Inkadinkado clear stamps and decided to make my own patterned paper.

For the Base Box, I used the Patterned Bugs Stamp on a Neenah Creative Collection Specialty Metallic Silver Cardstock. I was afraid the ink would not stay, but the Memento Brilliance Starlite Black is awesome.

For the Yellow cutouts I stamped the already cut pieces with Toffee Crunch Memento ink on a Penny Black Dahlias Stamp, and it actually looks like thin strings of spider webs.

For Stella's legs I used a Hero Arts rubber stamp and a Grey Flannel Memento ink.

For the body, head and top cutout I used a resist technique with Picked Raspberry Distress Paint on the artistic Flourish Stamp, let it dry and then applied the Seedless Preserves Distress Ink. I think it gives the pastel purple cardstock a lot of punch. The eyes and the mouth are drawn with the write feature using a Pilot V5 pen for the eyes and a Pilot Choose White gel pen.

The legs are are glued on both ends to the body and to the white offset, leaving the middle unattached.

Hope you like it.

Instructions.

  1. Import in DS
  2. Resize to 10.6 inches
  3. Ungroup
  4. Attach the mouth to the head and change function to write.
  5. Attach the pupils to the eyes cutout.
  6. Cut.
  7. Enjoy!
